PMI Bluegrass Chapter Board Nominations

Nominations for 2024 PMI Kentucky Bluegrass Board of Directors

We are now accepting nominations for the open positions on the 2024 Board of Directors for the Kentucky Bluegrass Chapter. The Nominations period begins on Friday, September 8, 2023, and concludes Monday, October 9, 2023. 

PMI Kentucky Bluegrass Board opportunities are listed below and each position is a 2-year term.

President

·        Responsible for oversight of the Chapter and the Board.

·        Directs, has overview of, and coordinates the activities of the other Board members.

·        Define the Chapter’s strategic goals and vision with input and approval of the Board.

·        Preside over Chapter Board meetings.

·        Accountable for Chapter operations and activities.

·        Candidates applying for this position must have held a Board position with PMI Kentucky Bluegrass previously.


VP, Membership

·        This position will be responsible for the Chapter membership and retention plan, initial communications with new members, ensuring continued growth and viability.

·        Develop and implement the membership plan.

·        Primary user of membership data and communications relating to membership items and questions.


VP, Communications

·        This position will be responsible for timely and consistent dissemination of information to Chapter membership.

·        Update the Chapter via email, social media and other methods.

·        Maintain communications schedule and support Chapter events/programs.


VP, Programs

·        This position will be responsible for the orchestration of all Chapter and Board events, ensuring that all operational needs are met.

·        Work with local vendors relating to events and programs for the Chapter.

·        Coordinate messaging for the membership to create awareness.

·        Organize presentations and potential sponsors.


VP, Finance

·        This position shall oversee the management of funds for duly authorized purposes of the Chapter and conduct an annual audit and report of findings to the Board.

·        Provide financial reporting and maintain Chapter accounts.

·        Maintain the annual Chapter budget and assist with annual Chapter planning.

·        Responsible for Chapter tax filings.

 

VP, Secretary/Administration

·        This position shall keep the records of all business meetings of the Chapter and meetings of the Board, and overall administration of Chapter documentation and records.  

·        Coordinate and schedule monthly Board meetings and distribute agenda.

·        Maintain meeting minutes and action items.

·        Manage Chapter documentation.

·  All Board members, both voting and non-voting, earn 10 or more PDUs per year for volunteering.

·  It is an excellent opportunity to hone your leadership skills and gain valuable leadership experience.

·  Have input into how the Chapter is managed and serves local PM professionals.

·  Increased networking opportunities by working directly with professional colleagues.

 What is the commitment? 

·  Board members are required to attend monthly board meetings and typically dedicate an average of 5 to 10 hours per month.

·  Help deliver the programs and special events offered throughout the year.
